Is Bark free?▾
Yes! Bark is completely free. All core features — map, discover, messaging, check-ins, social feed — are free. We may add optional premium features later, but the core app stays free.
What cities is Bark available in?▾
We're launching first in Vancouver, BC — including North Van, Burnaby, and Richmond. 20+ parks mapped. Expanding to Victoria, Toronto, and PNW cities soon.
How do live check-ins work?▾
Tap "Check In" when you're at a dog park. Your check-in auto-expires after 1 hour, or you can manually check out. The map updates in real time for all users.
How does matching work?▾
The Discover tab shows dog profiles near you. Swipe right to like, left to pass. When both owners swipe right, it's a match! Then message each other.
Is my location tracked?▾
No. Check-ins are manual and expire after 1 hour. Friend location sharing requires mutual opt-in. We never track your location in the background.
Is Bark on iOS or Android?▾
Currently iOS only. Android is planned. Join the waitlist and we'll notify you when your platform is ready.
Can I have multiple dogs?▾
Currently one dog per account. Multi-dog support is on our roadmap!
